A Lawrence County woman has been sentenced to one year on probation for her involvement in the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol Building.

Julia Jeanette Sizer of Ellwood City must serve one year on probation, as well as pay a $2,000 fine, $10 special assessment and $500 in restitution.

Sizer pleaded guilty in November to one count of Parading, Demonstrating and Picketing in a Capitol Building.

Three other counts were dismissed including Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building, Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building and Violent Entry and Disorderly Conduct in a Capitol Building.

According to the FBI, Sizer initially lied to investigators claiming that she had never entered the building. She later apologized for lying and her conduct stating that she was "sick to her stomach" and that she "wishes she hadn't gone inside the Capitol."

A total of seven people in the Valley have been charged in relation to the January 6 riot. So far, Sizer and one other person have pleaded guilty at this time.
