Austintown woman living in garage begins jail sentence
Pamela Grate pleaded guilty in December to the violation filed after authorities found her using propane heaters in a garage on Crum Road in February of last year.

An Austintown woman that was living in a garage was booked into the Mahoning County Jail on Monday to begin serving a ten-day sentence for failing to comply with township zoning laws.
Pamela Grate pleaded guilty in December to the violation filed after authorities found her using propane heaters in a garage on Crum Road in February of last year.
The court offered to suspend Grate's sentence if she disconnected a generator at the garage within three days.
During a subsequent court hearing last month, the judge found that she failed to comply and continued to use the generator.
The judge ordered grate to begin her jail sentence on Monday,
