Coroner working with YPD concerning South Side shooting that killed 20-year-old
A 20-year-old man named Darrell N. Jackson is confirmed to be the victim of a shooting in Youngstown on Saturday, reports said.
The Mahoning County Coroner's Office on Monday said it is working with Youngstown Police Detectives as they investigate Jackson's death on the city's South Side.
Youngstown Police were called to Market Street and East Philadelphia Avenue around 3 p.m. Saturday after a car drove onto the sidewalk.
Police say the car had numerous bullet holes. When officers opened the driver-side door, they found Jackson sitting dead behind the wheel with gunshot wounds, according to reports. Police are now labeling the death as a homicide.
