Supply of free home COVID tests run out at all Mahoning County libraries

It didn't take much time for people to snatch up free home COVID-19 rapid tests being handed out at local library branches.
According to library officials, every branch has now run out of test kits.
People calling early in hopes of reserving one of 4,000 free COVID-19 home tests being distributed at 9 branches of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County received a message that the phone number "is not in service at this time". So Library officials have decided to start handing out tests immediately.
The library planned to begin taking reservations for the rapid tests beginning at 9 a.m. Monday to reserve them for curbside pick-up.
However, a spokesperson for the library told 21 News in an email that as of 8 a.m., the Library’s phone lines were not working.
Officials say they are working with vendors to correct the issue.
In the meantime, libraries will begin passing out the tests when they open on Monday.
