Family support sessions being held at Mercy Health during holiday season
The holiday season can be a tough time for people during a normal year, but as the coronavirus pandemic continues, families may feel the need for support.
A collaboration between Mercy Health, Catholic Charities and the Mahoning County Mental Health and Recovery Board has created the family support initiative to lend a helping hand to those struggling.
According to the release, the family support initiative offers education for coping strategies, building a support system, resources for mental health care, grief support and adjusting to life after bereavement.
The family support sessions will be offered on December 13th and 27th.
Both sessions will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Elizabeth Youngstown (1044 Belmont Avenue) in the Behavioral Health department on the 7th floor.
