Springfield Township, Mercer County Regional Planning Commission, Mercer County Metro Planning Organization and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation have teamed up with TranSystems Corporation to conduct a transportation study of a section of US-19 (Perry Highway).

The section is a 1.8 mile section of the route approximately half a mile north of the Lawrence-Mercer County line to Hunter's Run, as well as short sections of SR-208 and Leesburg Station Rd.

The study will include a public engagement process made up of six Steering Committee meetings and two public meetings, as well as extensive data collection and analysis and development of multi-modal solutions to existing and future travel conditions on this section.

Those who are concerned about congestion, traffic incident management, detours and reckless drivers on the route in Springfield Township in Mercer County are invited to the first public meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held at the Springfield Township Municipal Building (408 Old Ash Rd. Mercer). Anyone who can't make it in person has the option of joining virtually through Zoom with the meeting ID 881-2445-2852.
