Man involved in Campbell shooting indicted with murder charges Thursday

A man involved in a shooting in late October that occurred at a home on the 100 Block of Gordon Ave. has been indicted on Thursday.
John Ellis III (64) was indicted on two charges of Murder with firearm specifications, Felonious Assault with firearm specifications and Tampering with Evidence.
21 News initially reported that Ellis was arrested on charges of felonious assault and that the victim was taken to the hospital for surgery.
However, Campbell Assistant Police Chief, Kevin Sferra tells us that the victim had died in the hospital a week after the incident.
According to Campbell detectives, the shooting stemmed from a disagreement between Ellis and the victim dating back to the 1970s. However, it is unclear what this disagreement was regarding.
