Autism Society of Mahoning Valley partners with Eastwood Mall to bring special Santa visit

The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley has teamed up with the Eastwood Mall to bring an special needs-friendly Santa visit on Sunday, Dec. 5.
Children with special needs will have the opportunity to meet Santa and take a photo in a less crowded, quieter and calmer environment.
This will be a private event held before mall opening hours from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. There will be no lines, no crowds and no music. Santa is trained to accommodate the needs of the children.
To avoid long lines and large crowds, the event will be done in 30-minute time increments. Upon arrival, families will be given a number. Families will wait for their number to be called before getting into the line.
While waiting, children can take a ride on the train or visit the aquarium in the mall. There will also be a hot cocoa station courtesy of the Lakeview Middle School Beta Club.
In addition, all children in attendance will receive a craft and fidget toy bag to take home with them.
Families must register in advance online in order to attend this event. Anyone interested can register online here.
