Job seekers looking for jobs such as substitute teachers, educational aides and home visitors are invited to job fairs held at the Davis Family YMCA and the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center (MCCTC).

The first fair was held Wednesday, Dec. 1 at the Davis Family YMCA with another to be hosted in January on Tuesday, Jan. 11 from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

In addition, MCCTC will be hosting the job fair on Tuesday, Dec. 7 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Those attending the MCCTC date should enter at the main entrance.

Those applying for the position of substitute teacher will need a bachelor's degree in any field to qualify. In addition, the Mahoning Valley Regional Council of Governments (MVRCOG) will conduct a background check on applicants and applicants must pass a drug screening.

Preschool aide applicants will need a high school diploma to qualify. MVRCOG will also conduct a background check on all applicants. Applicants also must pass a drug screening.

Educational aide applicants will need an associate's degree or higher in any field to qualify. MVRCOG will also conduct a background check on applicants and all applicants must pass a drug screening.

Home visitor applicants will need an associate's degree or higher to qualify. MVRCOG will conduct a background check on all applicants and applicants must pass a drug screening. Applicants must also have reliable transportation to make home visits. 

Home visitor applicants can have associate's degrees or higher in any field but degrees in child care and/or education are preferred.
