Small Business Saturday taking place in Sharon this week

The City of Sharon is inviting shoppers to celebrate Small Business Saturday this weekend.
The event kicks off with a mascot ribbon cutting on the East State Street Bridge and continues with shopping and store specials throughout the day.
Shoppers can also take a selfie with one of Santa's elves from 10 a.m. until noon.
A special tree lighting and a visit from Santa Claus will happen at noon next to FNB (7 West State Street).
Sharon will be honoring the local restaurant this year with four local managers and owners participating.
"We knew it was important to hold our Small Business Saturday event to support our small business community which are still dealing with the effects of the pandemic," Bob Fiscus, Manager of the City of Sharon, said. "Saturday's festivities will encourage people to come out and shop, grab breakfast or lunch locally and enjoy our city."
"The City knows how important every dollar spent locally supports our business community especially after going through the pandemic," said Fiscus. "We invite everyone to come out Saturday and support local!"
