A Struthers man in prison for molesting an 8-year-old child is asking a judge to be released one year and three months before his sentence is set to expire.

Twenty-eight-year-old Anthony Linzey has been brought from the Belmont Correctional Institution to Mahoning County for a judicial release hearing scheduled on Tuesday before Judge Anthony Donofrio.

In March 2019, Linzey was sentenced to four years in prison after being convicted of gross sexual imposition. Authorities say Linzey had sexual contact with an 8-year-old child.

When Linzey completes his sentence, he'll be required to register his address with law enforcement officials every six months for 25 years.
