A man wanted for murder in New Castle has been arrested.

City Police say 18-year-old Daniel lee Tweedlie of New Brighton was taken into custody just after midnight Tuesday after police and the Lawrence County Critical Incident Response Team surrounded a home on McCleary Avenue.

Tweedlie is charged in connection with the October 24th shooting death of 21-year-old Devon Thompson of Beaver Falls.

Police say Thompson was murdered at a Leasure Avenue home in New Castle.

Tweedlie is jailed on charges of criminal homicide and possession of a firearm with an altered manufacturer's number.

Two other suspects could face charges in the case, according to police.
