New Castle Police are investigating a homicide that happened Sunday evening.

Officers were dispatched to UPMC for a reported gunshot victim around 7 p.m.

The victim, Devon Thompson, died of his injuries at the hospital.

The police investigation showed that the shooting occurred at 413 Leasure Avenue in the City of New Castle.

Police say more information on the shooting will be released shortly.
