The gruesome murder of Shannon Graves continues to make national headlines.

Her story will be featured in HLN's docu-series "Sex and Murder," recounting everything from Graves' final hours to unexpected discoveries.

"When we saw 'dismembered body in the freezer', it grabbed our attention," said HLN's Investigations Producer Blue Browning. "I was going through the crime scene photos and looking at the interrogation videos and the lies that kept coming from the suspect's mouths, I mean, I couldn't believe this was real life when I was working on this story," he said.

Graves' sister, Debra DePaul expressed her gratitude in sharing her sister's story saying, "As difficult as it has been to discuss the details of Shannon's story over and over again, at the same time I'm so appreciative and feel the blessings of having so many interested in telling her story," said DePaul. "My hope is of helping others who are in unhealthy relationships, to find a positive and healthy way out before something bad may happen like in Shannon's case," she said.

The documentary will include exclusive national interviews with Graves' ex-fiancé John "Tru" Skrada, who brought to authorities attention that something was off, when another woman had been driving Graves' vehicle and walking her dog.

The forensic pathologist who performed Graves' autopsy will also be featured as well as our 21 News Reporter, Janet Rogers, who recounts her interview with the man who found Graves' body parts in the freezer.

"There's a huge cover up to this story with a lot more people involved and I couldn't believe the lengths people go to, to cover up a murder," Browning said.

You can watch the full documentary Sunday, September 26, at 10pm on HLN.
