Mahoning County Sheriff warns of a phone scam
In a Facebook post, the Sheriff's Department says the caller identifies himself as a Mahoning County Deputy Sheriff and states that he is contacting the person because they missed jury duty.

In a Facebook post, the Sheriff's Department says the caller identifies himself as a Mahoning County Deputy Sheriff and states that he is contacting the person because they missed jury duty.
The caller then goes on to say, that a warrant has been issued for the person's arrest unless they pay $3,000.
The Mahoning County Sheriff's Department says they will never contact anyone over the phone to solicit money or to advice someone of a warrant.
They ask people who receive this call to hang up immediately.
