Residents of some Boardman neighborhoods could have an end in sight to chronic flooding during heavy rainfall.
The ABC Water and Stormwater District is expected to reveal final plans on Tuesday to place a stormwater retention park on the site of the former Market Street Elementary School which closed in 2019.
The water district has scheduled a news conference Tuesday afternoon to announce a project designed to ease flooding in the Forest Park neighborhood.
Tuesday’s news conference will follow a 5 p.m. meeting of ABC Water District Officials and Boardman School officials.
Officials are expected to present visual materials explaining the project.
