A Youngstown woman, accused of doing nothing while her dog died outside her home, has been indicted by the Mahoning County Grand Jury.

Stacey Muldrow-Barlow, 56, of Shehy Street, faces two counts of cruelty to companion animals.

According to the Mahoning County Humane Society, agents were called to the woman’s home on August 27 where they found the woman’s Pitbull already dead.

An autopsy determined that the dog, named “Bella” had died of heatstroke.  Investigators say Bella had an internal temperature of more than 109 degrees.  The thermometer used was only able to read a maximum of 109.

The indictment says Muldrow-Barlow failed to provide the dog with food or water.

The suspect will be arraigned on the charges in Mahoning County Common Pleas court.
