Brookfield Local School district to mandate masks amid growing Covid-19 concerns.

After Brookfield recently cancelled its JV and Varsity football games set for this weekend against Liberty High School, they are also implementing a mask mandate for its schools.

Due to rising Covid-19 cases throughout the school population, Brookfield Local Schools will be requiring masks in all district buildings, regardless of vaccination status, starting Monday, September 13 until further notice.

Masks are also still required on all school transportation.

Brookfield currently has over 40 students quarantining, and wants to keep kids in school all day, 5 days a week. Brookfield is trying to adhere to different Department of Health guidelines, such as sanitizing, social distancing, and now masking, to avoid students having to quarantine.

The football game between Brookfield and Liberty High School currently have not been rescheduled.
