Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad to host 'North Pole Adventure'

One of the Valley's favorite holiday activities will have a new twist this season, as the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) announced Wednesday their new 'North Pole Adventure' holiday program.
Their annual Christmas train ride started 27 years ago in 1992 as the 'Polar Bear Unlimited.'
Since the beginning, they have run several themed programs including their most recent 'Polar Express Train Ride.'
“It was time for a change,” said CVSR President and CEO Joe Mazur in a press release. “Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we had to cancel our Christmas Train last year. After several years of the same program, the cancelation last year, and listening to feedback from our community, we felt it was the right time to introduce North Pole Adventure.”
The new railroad adventure will run from November 5th to December 19th this year.
Guests will write their letters to Santa as they travel to the North Pole, where they will hand-deliver their letters North Pole's Postmaster.
“In 2019, we accepted letters to Santa and received an overwhelming response from the community,” said Mazur. “The children enjoyed it and we knew they wanted the opportunity to deliver letters to Santa– now they can.”
The ninety-minute trip will include hot cocoa and cookies, Christmas carols, hanging out with Santa's elves, and a visit with Santa himself.
“We listened to the feedback from our guests who have ridden with us for our Christmas Train in past years,” Mazur said. “We took into consideration their feedback every step of the way – this program is for them.”
Tickets for the North Pole Adventure will be available online for CVSR Members on September 8th at 9 a.m., and will be available online to the public on October 5th at 9 a.m. For more information, you can visit the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad's website by clicking here.
