The Spartan Boosters Football Program will be continuing its tradition of featuring its senior football players and cheerleaders in front of a variety of vehicles on its first cover of the season.

In years past, vehicles used included firetrucks, police cars, construction equipment, among others. This year will mark the debut of a medical emergency helicopter.

A STAT-MedEvac Helicopter will be landing in Spartan Stadium Wednesday, Aug. 4 at 5 p.m. for the photo shoot.

In years past, seniors have often used vehicles to tie into various themes. After 9-11, the seniors did a tribute to first-responders and during Boardman's building realignment remodeling in 2019, the posed by construction vehicles wearing hard hats. Head football coach, Seth Antram explained the theme of this year's cover.

"This year, quarterback Terrence Thomas said the seniors asked for a helicopter to signify 'flying high' to reach their highest goals this season," Antram said.

Gridiron President Chad Miller is excited for the upcoming football season and has high hopes for Antram in his first season as coach.

"As a booster organization, we have high hopes for this new coach, his staff and this very talented football team," Miller said.

Boardman High School football's season kicks off Friday, Aug. 20 against Cardinal Mooney.
