Two indicted after Boardman police officers injured in scuffle
Two people were indicted Thursday for their part in an alleged incident that resulted in three police officers being injured at a Boardman hotel.
Shawn Drogus was indicted on one count of felonious assault, three counts of assault, obstructing official business, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
Julie Wagner of Akron was also indicted on one count of assault.
The incident happened on June 1, when police arrived at a domestic incident at the Days Inn on South Avenue in Boardman.
Police say they found Wagner on the scene crying.
According to police Drogus began arguing and got in a scuffle with them when police had to use a taser on him three times.
One officer suffered a broken wrist and another had a head injury.
Meanwhile, Police say Wagner bit the finger of an EMT.
