A 17-year-old is dead after a shooting on Youngstown's south side. 

The call for a shooting came in around 10 p.m. Sunday in the area of Gateway Gas Mart on South Avenue near East Avondale Avenue.

Police say they found a 17-year-old male face down in the gas station parking lot with a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There's been no word on any suspects.

The homicide happened less than 24 hours after an overnight shooting on the city's south side sent three people to the hospital.
