A Youngstown man already serving a 37-year federal prison sentence faces more charges handed up by a grand jury in Mahoning County.

Daniel Fleischer, 39, was indicted Thursday on two counts of rape and five counts of gross sexual imposition.

According to the new indictment, during a time period spanning from 2010 through 2014, Fleischer engaged in sexual contact with a minor that started when the child was nine years old. The alleged victim is now 19-years-old.

Fleischer is currently an inmate at the Petersburg Federal Correctional Institution in Virginia where he is serving out a sentence after pleading guilty in 2019 to receiving pictures of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct and sexual exploitation of children.

Federal investigators say Fleischer photographed himself sexually assaulting two young girls.

According to an indictment, Fleischer photographed himself as he sexually assaulted a child, in June 2011, and did the same with another child in December 2013.

Fleischer was also accused of receiving and distributing several images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct, taking place between December of 2017 and March of 2018.

The charges follow a raid by state and federal agents on Fleischer's Brownlee Woods Weston Avenue home in 2018 that agents say turned up a phone and two thumb drives containing child pornography.

According to an affidavit filed by a BCI agent, authorities began their investigation in after becoming aware of child pornography videos being sharked through the KIK social media platform.

Investigators say the videos showed nude and half-nude girls ranging in age from five to 14-years-old.
