1 person dead after crash on Route 422 in Warren

One person is dead after a crash early Sunday morning in Warren.

The crash happened around 3:00 AM on Route 422 near Bonnie Brae Avenue.

The Warren post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 21 News that a car struck a pole, trapping one person inside.

Warren police and fire along with the state highway patrol shut down several blocks of the road while they worked to get the victim out of the vehicle, who was then pronounced dead at the scene.

Trumbull Dispatch tells 21 News another person in the vehicle was taken to the hospital.  No word on that person's condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
