Bath Twp. carjacking suspect arrested in Newton Falls after chase
A suspect in a Bath Township carjacking was arrested in Newton Falls following a chase.
Reports say 34-year-old Antwan Teemer of Youngstown led officials on a high-speed chase after State Troopers attempted a traffic stop.
Initial reports say Teemer was driving at 140 miles per hour when they attempted the stop.
Teemer allegedly got off the turnpike ramp near State Route 5 and took off on foot.
Bath Township Police contacted Trumbull County 911 saying the car involved was stolen around 7:50 p.m. in their jurisdiction.
A 911 caller then reported taking a person matching Teemer's description to the Marathon gas station after he told her his car was broken down.
Reports say Teemer went around the side of Marathon near some trucks but was later apprehended.
911 reports say the carjacking victim's driver's license and credit card were found on Teemer.
