Mercer Co. man accused of using racial slurs, firing shot at fisherman
A Mercer County man faces half a dozen charges after allegedly using racial slurs and firing a gunshot after finding a man fishing and camping on his property.
A 27-year-old Sharon man told a state trooper that he had permission to be on the Millbrook Road property in Jackson Township on Friday when 61-year-old Dean Marburger showed up with a gun.
According to State Police, the alleged victim said that Marburger loaded the gun and pointed it at him while using racial slurs and making threatening comments.
As the camper was trying to leave the property, he said that Marburger fired a shot toward the pond.
Police arrested Marburger who as of early Monday remained held in the Mercer County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
Marburger faces charges including aggravated assault, reckless endangering, making terroristic threats, harassment, and ethnic intimidation.
He was arraigned on Sunday and faces another hearing before a district magistrate on June 16.
