Exceeding a $3.4 million goal by $200,000 is what the Beatitude House accomplished for their Inspiring Hope campaign.

"This is home to us," said Sister Mary McCormick, General Superior of the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown. "We want to make sure we continue to inspire hope among people who live in Youngstown."

Established in Spring of 2018, the campaign aims to provide permanent housing and immigrant outreach while working with Ursuline Sisters scholars.

"We have programs for families to provide stable housing, programs for scholars, people that are first generation college students," McCormick explained. "And also, first generation immigrants by helping them to assimilate into our own culture."

The extra $200,000 has allowed for even more programs, capital improvements, annual support and endowment funding.

"We really believe that if we can help tell the story that you can rule the world, and while we're really not trying to rule the world, we're trying to give people the ability to tell their own story," McCormick said.
