Arab-American community protests outside Ryan's Warren office in support of Palestinians
Protests regarding the recent rash of violence in the Middle East continue throughout the country and right here in the Valley.
Members of the Arab-American community gathered in Warren this afternoon to support Palestinian citizens.
A few dozen people gathered outside of Congressman Tim Ryan's office in protest.
The group said they believed innocent Palestinian citizens are being killed and displaced by the Israeli Government.
One man told 21 News they chose to protest in front of Ryan's office because they believe he released a statement that favored Israel in the conflict.
"It's time for us to not let our politicians lead us in the wrong direction, they have their own interests and agendas, different than most of the people. Come learn about us, our culture, and our history," said Raed Khatib of Boardman.
The Youngstown Area Jewish Federation, however, says Hamas has fired more than 2,000 missiles into cities aimed directly at civilians in what they call 'an act of war.'
