A human sex trafficking probe led investigators to Columbiana County with the arrest of a man who authorities say was interested in paying a mother and underage daughter for sex.

According to Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, a 44-year-old Tuscarawas County man was arrested Saturday in Columbiana County on felony charges following an investigation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force.

Chad Robert Ryan of Dover was charged with compelling prostitution, attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and possessing criminal tools.

Task Force members say they found out that Ryan wanted to purchase sex with a mother and underage daughter.

A joint investigation by the Tuscarawas County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio Investigative Unit resulted in Ryan’s arrest.

Ryan was arraigned in Columbiana County Municipal Court on Monday. He’s free on bond and is scheduled for another court hearing next week.
