Engineers need a few days more to complete a project that has had an Austintown road closed since last month.

Turner Road was to be closed for three weeks north of the Kirk Road intersection at the Turnpike Bridge beginning April 26.

The Mahoning County Engineer now says the closure will continue until Friday, May 21.

This is a complete closure due to the pier work being done on the Turnpike Bridge.

The posted detour is Turner Road to New Road to Route 46 to Kirk Road.
