State Troopers have released the names of a father and son who died a fiery, head-on crash that also injured two others just west of Lisbon in Columbiana County.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says that James Mullins, 72, of Carrollton was driving a GMC Sierra that went left of center on Route 30 Wednesday afternoon, striking an oncoming tow truck head-on.

Both vehicles went off the road and caught fire.

Mullins and the passenger in the GMC, 34-year-old Jacob Mullins of Petersburg, both died.  Troopers say the two victims are father and son.

Tow truck driver Ernest Nicholson IV, 46,  of Washingtonville was taken to Mercy Hospital in Youngstown with injuries the patrol described as serious but not life-threatening. Tow truck passenger, 21-year-old Nicholas Gardner of Minerva, received minor injuries.  Troopers say Gardner was the only person wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Route 30 was closed between Route 172 and County Home Road while the crash was being investigated.
