A Warren woman is complaining to police that her thirteen-year-old daughter has been buying electronic cigarettes from a man using the social media platform Snapchat.

According to a police report, the 44-year-old mom told police she was going through her daughter’s Snapchat account when she found that an adult male was offering to sell vapes.

The mom says her daughter has been meeting with the man since December at the former Howland Intermediate School on North Road and Morgandale Park on Weir Road to buy the vapes.

Other teens have been buying from the man as well, according to the report.

The mother could provide little information about the suspect other than his Snapchat name and that he was either in his late teens or early twenties.

Ohio's Tobacco 21 law makes it a misdemeanor to sell or provide cigarettes and other tobacco products, vaping devices and vape liquid to anyone younger than 21.
