Man arrested following child pornography raid at Youngstown home

A man is facing charges following a raid on a home in Youngstown.

The Mahoning County Sheriff's Office says 41-year-old Matthew Lucarell was arrested in connection to the raid at a home on the 3500 block of Kirk Road.

Law enforcement officers raided the home Thursday morning in connection to a child pornography investigation.

Mahoning County Sheriff Jerry Greene says their new K9 Bubba helped search during the raid and sniffed out everything they hoped he would.

The 2-year-old black lab is trained to find electronic devices such as SIM cards in cellphones, thumb drives, computers and other places where illicit materials can be hidden.

Lucarell is facing a charge of pandering obscenity involving a minor.
