A well-known Valley artist has passed away.

Chris Yambar passed away Saturday according to his agent.

Yambar's work is in galleries and private collections around the world.

The artist also wrote Simpsons comic books.

He lost sight in one eye and had other health issues in recent years but continued to create artwork despite the ailments.

Yambar was 59-years-old.
