Fourth suspect arrested for attempted Warren home invasion
A fourth and final suspect has been arrested after a Warren woman told police she was stabbed after repelling would-be intruders who allegedly tried to force their way into her Northwest Side home while she was watching her grandchildren.
Fifty-year-old Julius Jordan was arrested Tuesday, who along with 39-year-old Juan Jordan, and 34-year-old Sharieka Starks, all of Warren, are charged with burglary in connection with an incident at a home on Clearwater St. NW. A fourth suspect, 32-year-old Teauna Jenkins of Warren is charged with menacing.
The arrests came after a 39-year-old woman told officers that she was at home with her four grandchildren on February 26 when the suspects forced their way into the house. The woman said she managed to push them out and lock the front door before calling her 60-year-old husband.
The husband arrived just as the four suspects came back to the home in a Chevy Impala, according to the police report.
The woman said a man with a gun got out of the Impala and threatened to shoot her but got back into the car and began to drive away.
The couple says they chased the car to the intersection of Clearwater and Commerce Street where a fight broke out.
Both victims received superficial stab wounds during the fight, according to police.
The husband says the Impala drove toward him at about 40 miles per hour, launching him off the hood and onto the pavement before driving away.
The male victim was taken to Trumbull Regional Medica Center for treatment of lacerations and internal injuries. His wife refused to go to the hospital.
The four face charges in Warren Municipal Court
