Austintown woman convicted of providing deadly drug in Mercer County

An Austintown woman is under house arrest as she awaits sentencing for providing the drugs that caused the overdose death of a Mercer County woman.
Following a trial this week in Mercer County Common Pleas Court, 34-year-old Nicoletta Robinson was found guilty of drug delivery resulting in death, aggravated assault, criminal use of a communication facility, manufacture or delivery with intent to manufacture, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person.
When Robinson was arrested in 2019, police say she supplied drugs to a 32-year-old Mercer woman who died from an overdose in Coolspring Township.
Initially, investigators didn't suspect foul play. However, Robinson was charged after further investigation.
The judge presiding over the case denied the District Attorney's request to revoke Robinson's bond but instead ordered that she be placed under house arrest until she is sentenced on May 7.
