A 4-year-old boy is in critical condition following a Youngstown shooting. 

Police responded to the 600 block of McBride Street Monday afternoon around 1:50 after reports of a juvenile had been shot.

Officers found a woman in the residence holding the 4 year old with a gunshot wound, according to a news release from the Youngstown Police Department.

The boy was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police have not released any more details yet as far as the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
