Austintown nurse accused of stealing meds from nursing home patients
An Austintown nurse was booked into the Mahoning County jail on 27 charges accusing her of stealing medications from nursing home patients.
Fifty-year-old Licensed Practical Nurse Dianet Godoy was booked on Thursday after the county grand jury handed up an indictment charging her with ten counts of theft of drugs, eight counts of illegal processing of drug documents, and nine counts of forgery.
According to the indictment, between February of 2019 and February of 2020, Godoy stole Ativan, hydrocodone, and oxycodone that had been prescribed to several patients at Briarfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown.
Godoy, who is also accused of ordering false prescriptions and forging names, is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday.
According to state records, Godoy received her LPN license in 1996.
