Several frantic calls were made to 9-1-1 were made as one man was killed another was wounded in a shooting in Niles early Monday.
According to police, dispatchers got a call just after midnight about a disturbance at a home at 109 W. First Street.
While police were on the way, they received more calls about shots being fired.
Officers found 39-year-old Thomas Carr of Niles dead at the scene. Detectives say Carr had been shot several times.
A second man, Dylan Hilty, 19, of Niles, ran from the shooting scene to his home. Police say Hilty was taken to Mercy Hospital in Youngstown and was taken into surgery.
A third man was arrested by police.
Early reports indicate that there was a confrontation between residents of the First Street home and three males who came to the house.
One of the home's residents, a male juvenile, allegedly fired on the visitors.
Several shots can be heard as a woman called dispatchers to report an argument in the neighborhood.
A woman also called 9-1-1 to plead for an ambulance after reporting that her son had been shot.
Police are discussing charges with the prosecutor.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Trumbull County Prosecutor are assisting the police.
