Men from Warren and Newton Falls are among 17 people rounded up in a human trafficking crackdown in Summit and Portage Counties.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Akron Police Department, Portage County Sheriff’s Office, Summit County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Summit County Human Trafficking Force charged 16 men and one woman during an investigation.

Among those charged in the single-day operation were 52-year-old Ronald Kaiser of Warren and 54-year-old Benny Brown of Newton Falls. Both men are charged with soliciting.
