Canfield doctor pleads guilty to child sex trafficking, pornography

A Canfield doctor has pleaded guilty to eight charges filed in connection with an investigation into the alleged sex trafficking of six girls as young as 12 years old.
On Thursday, Dr. Albert Aiad-Toss pleaded guilty to seven counts of sex trafficking of a minor and one count of production of child pornography as part of a plea agreement with prosecutors. He will remain in the custody of federal authorities while awaiting sentencing scheduled for June 3.
The doctor has been in the Mahoning County Jail since September 2019, when he was arrested after investigators accused him of forcing girls between the ages of 12 and 15 to engage in what prosecutors describe as “commercial sex acts.”
Aiad-Toss, 53, previously worked as an emergency room doctor at St. Elizabeth's hospital in Boardman, although he worked for an outside company, not Mercy Health directly. He was removed from St. Elizabeth's schedule when the initial allegations came to light.
In late 2019, the Ohio Medical Board indefinitely suspended Aiad-Toss’ license to practice.
