Leadership at the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is getting a change-up

Following a search process initiated in mid-2020, the Board of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber announced that Guy Coviello has been selected to assume the President and CEO role as of March 1, 2021.

The search process focused on selecting a leader that has a strong working knowledge of Chamber of Commerce operations, as well as a vision for the future that would expand the organization's impact on retaining existing businesses, assisting companies with their expansions and working to attract new businesses to our market.

Michael Schrock, who serves as the current chairman of the Board, said, "Guy expressed a clear vision of how he would embrace collaboration and enhance relationships with local, regional and state organizations such as JobsOhio, TeamNEO and many others."

Coviello joined the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber in 2014 after dedicating nearly 30 years in editorial roles at the Tribune Chronicle.

He has led the Chamber's Columbus Drive-In and Washington Fly-In events; took part in the Ohio Chamber of Commerce Research Foundation's "Ohio BOLD: A Blueprint for Accelerating the Innovation Economy" project in 2017; and was named to the Campaign for America's Energy Ohio Steering Committee.

In 2018, Coviello was named president of the Regional Chamber Foundation after spending four years as the Chamber's vice president of Government Affairs.

Coviello said, "I am honored to have been chosen to lead the organization forward, and I am confident that by working together with other leaders at the local, regional and state level, we can accelerate the growth and expansion that our region is very capable of achieving. I also consider myself very fortunate to inherit an enthusiastic and dedicated Chamber staff and a committed Board of Directors."
