Valley preps for winter road conditions ahead of sleet, freezing rain

Another round of sleet, slush and freezing rain is expected Monday night into Tuesday morning as a winter storm system moves through the Valley.
Officials from the Ohio Department of Transportation said they cannot pre-treat the roads because they are dealing with sleet and frozen rain.
They said that is something that has to be dealt with as it happens.
ODOT will have 40 trucks fitted with salt and plows between Trumbull and Mahoning counties ready to go as the weather starts to roll in.
In Columbiana County, Engineer Bert Dawson said they will have 15 trucks working with a full staff around the clock if necessary with a salt and grit mixture.
Meanwhile, in Pennsylvania, PennDOT is prepared for its interstates to be slick going into Monday night.
