Charges expected after Howland traffic accident
State troopers say they plan to file charges following a traffic accident in Howland that sent three people to the hospital.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the crash happened at around 10:30 pm Tuesday on route 46 in front of Texas Roadhouse and the Eastwood Mall.
Kristi M. DeSantis, 38, of Vienna, OH was southbound on SR 46 in a silver 2002 Chevrolet Malibu, according to troopers.
Diane M. Peyatt, 34, of Niles, OH was northbound on SR 46 in a blue Chevrolet Impala. Bradly V. Stinson, 37, of Warren was a passenger.
DeSantis traveled left of center striking Ms. Peyatt, according to the report. DeSantis was taken to Trumbull Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
Peyatt and Stinson were transported to St. Joseph’s Hospital with serious injuries.
SR 46 northbound was closed during the investigation but has since re-opened.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol tells 21 News they believe alcohol was involved and plan to file charges.
