Increased security measures in place for Youngstown for next week
The Youngstown Police Department will be implementing additional security measures throughout the city, including beefing up the police presence in the downtown area, especially around government buildings.

Mayor Tito Brown announced that in light of recent violence in Washington DC, Youngstown is taking all necessary steps to ensure the safety of its citizens and prevent any issues from occurring.
The Youngstown Police Department will be implementing additional security measures throughout the city, including beefing up the police presence in the downtown area, especially around government buildings for the next week, according to Cpt. Rod Foley.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investing, there have been no credible threats on Youngstown, but the mayor wants the city to be vigilant. The mayor asks that anyone who sees any suspicious activity to contact the Youngstown police Department at 330-747-7911.
