Police have released more information about a fiery three-vehicle crash that claimed a life early Thursday.

Police say a Honda Civic entered the eastbound lanes of the Madison Ave. Expressway from the McGuffy Road exit traveling the wrong way just after 5:30 am.

The Honda struck a Ford F-150 head-on near the Elm St. overpass, causing the pickup truck to strike an Oldsmobile Delta 88.  The driver of the Honda died in the crash.

Police have not released the name of the deceased driver, or the condition or names of the other drivers.

The eastbound lanes of the expressway were closed between Fifth and Wick Avenues while police investigated.
