A Mahoning County Grand Jury decided not to indict Cleveland Cavaliers guard, Kevin Porter Jr. after his November arrest for an alleged weapons felony.

Porter was arrested on November 15 and faced charges of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle after he crashed the vehicle he was driving.

Earlier this month, a misdemeanor drug abuse charge was dismissed at the request of the prosecutor who, according to court records, said the state had no valid testing to prove the charge.

A charge of not having a valid driver's license was also dismissed. Porter was fined $25 for failing to maintain control of his 2020 Mercedez-Benz GLE, that state troopers say rolled over on Interstate 76 in Milton Township last month.

Porter, the Cav's standout guard, was not injured and cooperated with investigators according to troopers.

The patrol said it appeared that Porter was fatigued at the time of the rollover crash and they don't believe he was impaired.

Troopers say they found a .45 caliber handgun and suspected marijuana in the car.
