Warren JFK senior standout Cam Hollobaugh has been named the 46th Trumbull County Player of the Year. The 6-foot-1, 210 pound quarterback and linebacker of the Eagles becomes the eighth member of the Warren JFK program to win Player of the Year award, and is the first since Jared Province won in 2007.

Hollobaugh was also recently named the Div. VII defensive player of the year, earning a spot on the All-Ohio defensive First Team.

"It means a lot to me and I worked hard for it," Hollobaugh said. "I didn't expect it but I knew I had a chance to win it. There was a lot of great kids that played this season and I'm just happy I won it."

Eagles Head Coach Dom Prologo has also been named the Trumbull Country Coaches Association Coach of the Year for 2020. The Eagles posted a 4-2 regular season record in 2020, and ripped off five consecutive wins in the postseason, making it all the way to the Div. VII state title game. Hollobaugh says he couldn't have had the season he did and received this award without his head coach.

"He's been coaching me for three and a half years now and he's pushed me a lot," Hollobaugh said. "He's made me a lot better than I was when I was a freshman, so it has a lot to do with him that I won this trophy. It's been the best four years of my life. I loved every second of it and I wouldn't trade it for the world. All the hard work we put in, we got where we wanted to go and couldn't finish it, but this trophy means a lot to me."

Now that the Hollobaugh's football career at Warren JFK is over, he says he there are so many positive memories to reflect on.

"All the friendships I made with coaches and players," he said. "We've got a bond and it's really tight and that's something I'll have for the rest of my life."

Coach Prologo says Hollobaugh is a special player and one that most certainly deserves the Trumbull County Player of the Year Award for a number of reasons.

"Cam kind of did everything for us," Prologo said. "The thing that happened senior year that maybe we hadn't gotten from Cam up to this point, was he became a leader. Up to that point he led by example, went out and played and hoped that his play would get everybody to follow him, and play as hard has he did. But senior year, something changed. He became one heck of a leader for us and [he] had a lot to do with the success we had on the field, that's for sure."

Prologo was quick to give the credit for Trumbull County Coaches Association Coach of the Year award to his players, saying his award represents the whole team.

"You win because you have great players," Prologo said. "If you're going to win at the level we did this year, you have to have more than just a great team and great players, you have to have 'a guy,' and we had 'a guy.' On Friday night our guy was better than anybody they put on the field. When your guy's that good and everybody plays to that level you've got a chance to win, and Cam was our guy."
