Ohio's election results have officially been certified Friday.

Secretary of State Frank LaRose made the announcement on Twitter, saying that nearly six million Ohioans made their voice heard.

He said this is a new record.

The state went red November third, handing President Trump its 18 electoral votes.

Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties also went red for the president.

Democratic President-elect Joe Biden fell short of the president in the state by about eight percentage points, giving the Republican president a slightly smaller margin of victory in the state than four years ago.

President Trump also succeeded in obtaining more votes than any other presidential candidate in state history, winning 3.1 million votes across the Buckeye State.

This was more than former President Barack Obama in 2008, who set the previous record with 2.9 million votes.

Below are the presidential election results by county.
