The Howland boys soccer team can call themselves state champs.

A year after losing to Tipp City Tippecanoe, the Tigers evened the score with the Red Devils, winning 5-0 and winning the Division II State Championship.

The win snapped Tipp City's 47 game winning streak and handed them their first loss of the season.

Jordan Sperling had two goals, while Tristan Rose,  Gabe Lisi and Kylan Mowatt-Larssen added single tallies.

Goal keeper Lucas Brill had two saves.

The victory gives Trumbull County is first boys soccer state crown.
